A Texas bakery lost a big order over a photo of Pride cookies. Then the internet stepped in.

The line stretched around the block at Confections bakery in Lufkin, Texas. Photo: Confections Confections, a bakery in Lufkin, Texas took to Facebook when a customer canceled a large order after the company posted a photo of Pride-themed cookies to their Facebook page.

But after the small business posted the lament, the internet sprang into action, not only buying the cookies that were abandoned by the anti-LGBTQ customer, but lining up for blocks outside the store to clean it out entirely.

“Today has been hard. Really hard,” the June 3 Facebook post read. “We lost a significant amount of followers because of a rainbow heart cookie we posted. We received a very hateful message on our business page canceling a large order (5dz) of summer themed cookies for tomorrow morning (that we just finished decorating) because of a rainbow heart cookie we posted.”

“My heart is heavy.
