Letters-Radiation and climate change
To the Editor:
The blob of unusually warm ocean surface temperatures, has been causing damage to the pacific ocean life and has changed winds.
The science of radiation fall out and heavy water, being released into oceans, is documented, from the past.
Now, Japan is being allowed to release more radiation waste water, into the Pacific Ocean, in the next few years? Lots of it.
The earthquake and subsequent radiation fall out, has already changed the west coast climate catastrophically since 2011.
Yet not many media coverage is focused,on this major disaster that has accelerated climate change for all western states. Why? Why does the media not cover the viable and sadly consequential effect of the damaged reactor? That has affected climate by the warming of Pacific ocean temperatures.Radiation is heat. Heat that last, sometimes for 30 days, some forms lasting to 40 years. It’s only common sense that equates the damage in the Pacific Ocean to waste water releases. Please write government officials and ask for the future of the west and Pacific Oceans to be helped. And ask that the United states scientists, through politicians, to help Japan with a difficult and better solution to get rid of radioactive heavy water. And for […]
